Over 5,600 polling stations to be set up for Azerbaijani referendum
5,627 polling stations will be set up for the upcoming referendum in Azerbaijan, Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC), said on Wednesday.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to hold a referendum on amending the country’s Constitution on September 26, 2016.

90 international observers from 34 countries and 53,300 local observers have been registered to date, said the CEC chairman.

“Of them, 1,097 were registered at the CEC and the rest at the constituency election commissions,” he added.
