At the heart of the championship`s new visual identity is the bridge – a simple, universal symbol of connection. Each of the accompanying 13 unique host logos will feature a single iconic bridge from the city in question. London`s logo, unveiled today, therefore incorporates the famous Tower Bridge, while the remaining 12 logos will be revealed one by one at individual launches.
The ceremony at London City Hall witnessed a first speech in office by new UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, who described England as the "mythical cradle of football" and spoke of his pleasure at being able to bring UEFA EURO 2020 to so many countries and cities.
Also in attendance were London`s mayor Sadiq Khan, England manager Sam Allardyce, former England goalkeeper David James, and English Football Association chairman Greg Clarke and CEO Martin Glenn. AFFA Secretary General Elkhan Mammadov also participated in the event.
