Azerbaijanis living abroad cast their ballots - PHOTOS
The voting in referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution kicked off at Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkey at 08:00 am (Turkey time) on Sept.26.

Voters cast their ballots at polling station #30, created within the Yasamal District Constituency Election Commission #17. 673 Azerbaijani residents have the right to vote at the polling station. All conditions have been created at the Embassy to ensure a free and transparent referendum.



Polling station#42 of Yasamal District Constituency Election Commission #16 is set up at Azerbaijan`s Embassy to UAE. Chair of the polling station Parviz Ismayilzade says, the voter turnout is observed.


The voting in referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution kicked off at Embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow, Russia on Sept.26. Those having residence permit in the service area of the Consulate General, registered at the Consulate General and being on a business trip to Russia are voting. Azerbaijan`s Consul General in Moscow and the chairman of the electoral constituency Aghalar Atamoghlanov told that 1500 Azerbaijani citizens have been registered in the polling station #48 in Yasamal constituency #17. Turnout has been high since early hours of Monday.All conditions have been created at the Embassy to ensure a free and transparent referendum.



Polling stations have been set up in St Petersburg and Yekaterinburg as well. 956 citizens have been registered in St Petersburg and 200 in Yekaterinburg. The voting process will end at 19:00 pm local time. A report to be developed after the counting of votes will be submitted to relevant bodies.

The voting in referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution kicked off at Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Iran, at 08:00 am on Sept.26. Election is being conducted in consistency with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Electoral Code and other legislative acts on this field.

All conditions have been created for Azerbaijani citizens to exercise their rights to vote in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code.

Azerbaijani diplomats, their family members, permanent residents and people who are in business trip in Iran participate in the election.

The voting in referendum has also kicked off at Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Germany. The polling station #32 in Yasamal constituency #17 was opened at 08:00 am on Sept.28 at the Embassy in regard with the referendum to make amendments to the Constitution.

All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the Azerbaijani citizens` right to vote who hold permanent and temporary residency in Germany. The polling station met minimum conditions for any election to be considered free and fair.

Azerbaijani citizens vote at Embassy in Riga

A polling station at Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Riga, Latvia, opened at 8.00 local time where Azerbaijani citizens are casting their ballots in a referendum on amendments to the Constitution.



According to counselor at the Embassy Garay Muradov, 4.66 per cent of the eligible voters registered at the Embassy has already cast ballots.

The polling station closes at 19.00 Riga time.
