FETÖ planned a coup in 1990: Turkish prosecution
Prosecution`s findings based on Turkish military officials` testimonies show the FETÖ terrorist organization had planned another coup in 1990.
Recently emerged evidence has revealed that the coupist Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), headed by Fetullah Gülen, was planning another coup in 1990.

The findings were reached during the investigation in the northern Turkish province of Tokat.

Tokat Prosecutor`s Office said 22 top military officials, including colonels, lieutenant colonels, who were embedded in the FETÖ terrorist organization, had met Fetullah Gülen face to face as a part of the meetings of the coup plan.

“When these top officials were being educated at the military school, the answers to the examination questions were given to these people and the answers were told to have been sent to Gülen by demons," according to the Prosecution`s report based on the testimonies of the detainees.

Each of the detainees were given a code when they were a student, according to the findings.

One of the arrested, an alleged `Imam` of the terrorist organization, said he was responsible for raising 19 students and bringing these people to the terrorist group.

`Gülen portrayed as saver of humanity`

“All of this could be done by the terrorist group by reflecting Fetullah Gülen as the `messiah` sent by the Prophet and a saver for the humanity" the report of the prosecution indicated to.

As a part of the ongoing investigation in Tokat, warrants have been issued for nine colonel`s capture. Some of them could be detained, while the remaining are still fugitives, as some of them were discovered to be on duty as military attachés in foreign countries.

Tens of thousands arrested during FETÖ probe

More than 32,000 people have been arrested as part of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) probe, which was opened following the July 15 bloody coup bid of the terrorist group that was concluded with 246 people`s death.
"About 70,000 people faced legal proceedings on suspicion of links with the FETÖ terrorist group," he added.

The investigation against FETÖ was opened after the bloody coup bid on July 15 that killed 246 people.
Turkey accuses Fetullah Gülen, the leader of the FETÖ terrorist organization, of masterminding the failed putsch and has demanded that the U.S. extradites Gülen to face trial.
