Azerbaijani writer`s work presented at NYC Writers Conference 2016
Outstanding literature specialists like Matthew Quinn Martin, Phil Sexton, Emily Liebert, Gabriela Pereira and Libby Cudmore gave seminars on `Research for the historical novel`, `Creating dynamic characters`, `Secrets to succeeding as author`, `Drama in modern world`, `Horror and detective literature today` and interesting training on `Effective marketing strategies for authors`.
Pitching - the presentation of prose works that are likely to be successful - was the most interesting part of the conference. Works of writers from the CIS countries have also been included in the pitching list of the conference for the first time. They were: Alexander Gritsenko, Andrei Aksyonov, Natalia Impris, Simon Bebel, Sasha Krugosvetov, Vladimir Shatakashvili, Victoria Balashova and our counterpart Varis Yolchuyev.
A novel of `Yetmish yeddinci gun` (77th day) which was written by Varis Yolchuyev, published in Baku and Istanbul and typewritten in Moscow was presented to American literary figures and editor-in-chiefs.
Note, the synopsis that have been included in the pitching list of the conference will qualify to be added official catalogue of the Writer`s Digest Annual Conference 2016.
Lynn Menke, the representative of the CIS said in his statement, the works especially written by the writers of the former Soviet Union countries had attracted American literary figures and editor-in-chiefs.
Last year, Varis`s first debut was taken place in America and his ` Metamorphosis` novel was issued on account of the publishing house and released for sale.
