Gülen is planning to escape from US: Turkish justice minister
There is intelligence information that Fethullah Gulen plans to escape from the US to another country, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said, Sabah newspaper reported.
Gulen is accused of being involved in July 15 military coup attempt in Turkey.

The Turkish justice minister added that the US must urgently detain Gulen to prevent his escape.

Bozdag said that Turkey expects from the US at least temporary detention of Gulen.

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Justice officially appealed to the US over the arrest of Gulen.

Previously, Turkish authorities sent two requests to the US for extradition of Fethullah Gulen. An Istanbul court ordered on Aug. 4 to arrest Gulen.

On July 15 evening, Turkish authorities said a military coup attempt took place in the country. Meanwhile, a group of servicemen announced about transition of power to them.

However, the rebelling servicemen started to surrender July 16 and Turkish authorities said the coup attempt failed.
