American journalist meets with IDPs
An American journalist, author of the book “Murder in the Mountains: War Crime in Khojaly and the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict” Raoul Contreras who visited Azerbaijan to write book on the country, accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, has met with our compatriots living in the block built for 760 IDPs in the Masazir settlement.
The committee told that the journalist who came to wrote about Azerbaijan, as well as the refugees and internally displaced persons in our country, and the realities about the measures taken by the state to improve their social and living conditions, was given comprehensive information about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and the problems of our compatriots expelled from their homes as a result of this conflict.

Huseynov stressed that 95 high-rise residential buildings with social and technical infrastructure, several settlements were built and living conditions of 250 000 IDPs were improved in various districts of the country.

Then American journalist got familiarized with conditions created for teachers and students of Zangilan secondary school No.33 and exhibits at the Zangilan History and Ethnography Museum.

Raoul Contreras also reviewed the apartments of IDPs, familiarized himself with their living conditions.
