On the occasion of Ashura, Azerbaijan’s Caucasian Muslims Board (CMO) and Ministry of Health have launched a joint campaign of voluntary blood donation in 15 mosques.
Zohra Alimirzayeva, the director of the Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion named after B. Eyvazov, overseeing the process in Tezepir Mosque, said a total of 400 people have donated blood so far.
