Turkey supports any solution that meets Azerbaijan’s interests - FM
Azerbaijan has made sincere efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by peaceful means, Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu said answering a question from Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva during the PACE session on Wednesday.
Cavusoglu said Armenian troops’ withdrawal from the occupied Azerbaijani territories especially from the five districts has lately been on the agenda.

“Russia shared its efforts with us, and so did we. It’s because we support any solution that is Azerbaijan’s interests. At the same time, we seek to mend our relations with Armenia. Why should this occupation continue?

Cavusoglu also stressed that the OSCE Minsk Group should ramp up their efforts.

The FM added that Turkey has also tried to normalize bilateral ties with Armenia, noting that an unsuccessful agreement was signed in Switzerland.
