Passenger plane evacuated, searched  for bomb threat at Geneva airport
A Russian passenger plane was evacuated and searched Thursday afternoon for a bomb threat at the Geneva International Airport, a statement from the local prosecutor`s office said.
The plane was preparing to take off from Geneva Airport but remained grounded Thursday afternoon after a man claimed there was a bomb inside the plane, said the Geneva Public Prosecutor in the statement.

The man then was arrested and a police bomb disposal team boarded the flight after the threat was made at the counter of an airline just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

The Russian airline company Aeroflot said later in a statement it was Aeroflot flight 2381 to Moscow and passengers would be transferred to other aircraft for the journey.

A Geneva prosecutor`s spokesman said the arrested man was Russian and there were 115 people on board.

The plane was due to leave Geneva for Moscow at 12:35 local time.
