India, Pakistan must resolve issues - Farooq Abdullah
Farooq Abdullah said, "We are only interested in peace, India and Pakistan must sit down and resolve their issues."
National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Friday convened an all-party meeting over Kashmir and discussed the prevailing situation in the Valley which has crippled normal life for more than three months.

Pressing for peace between India and Pakistan, Farooq Abdullah said, “We are only interested in peace, India and Pakistan must sit down and resolve their issues.”

He said, “I don’t want to say anything on Uri attack. I just want to save this state. I want peace.

The National Conference President further said, “Remember what Vajpayee ji said-‘we can’t choose our neigbours’, so we have to talk to Pakistan, there is no other option”. “We are concerned about peace, we don’t care about surgical strikes. Indian and Pakistan must sit down at a table to talks”, he added.

Normal life in Kashmir has been affected for the past 98 days due to protests and clashes which erupted after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with security forces on July 8.
