Lebanon hosts discussion on security issues, fighting terrorism
The Lebanese capital of Beirut hosted a series of meetings as part of preparation for the 3rd Global Shared Societies Forum, to be held in April in Baku, Azerbaijan
The forum will be organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and the Club de Madrid with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

The committee said a meeting with Lebanon’s ex-president, Amine Gemayel, who is also a member of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, apart from preparation for the forum, also discussed the cooperation of the Maison du Futur, a foundation led by Gemayel, and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

The meeting also focused on the joint projects to be realized in the future.

The issues of security and the fight against terrorism, which concern the Middle East, were also discussed at the meeting, and it was agreed to hold seminars on this topic.

The state committee added that in preparation for the forum, it is planned to hold a meeting of a working group in Beirut in March with participation of the ex-presidents of Serbia and Bulgaria.

The 3rd Global Shared Societies Forum, to be held in April in Baku, will be attended by the former presidents and the current heads of government of ore than 40 countries.

During the forum, the former presidents and the current leaders of several countries, influential social and political figures, representatives of science, and culture will discuss issues of concern to humanity, as well as their solutions.
