Turkey PM congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day

Turkey PM congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day

Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim congratulated citizens of Azerbaijan on Independence Day while addressing the parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) on Oct. 18, TRT Haber news channel reports.

“I send the love and respect of 79 millions of Turks to our brothers in Azerbaijan. We are one nation and two countries.” said the prime minister.

The Constitutional Act about the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted at the session of the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan on Oct. 18, 1991.

Azerbaijan is an independent and a sovereign state since Oct. 18, 1991, and people celebrate Oct. 18 as a holiday.
