Economy, diplomacy cannot be separated: Turkish FM
Economy cannot be dissociated from diplomacy, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu Anadolu Agency reported
"In our world, the economy cannot be conducted without foreign policy and diplomacy cannot be isolated from the economy," Cavusoglu said at a conference in Ankara.

Cavusoglu added that the 21st century would be an era of political economy.

"The interaction between foreign policy and the economy is increasing with the accelerating globalization," said Cavusoglu.

Saying that political relations used to determine the economy, Cavusoglu said: "But now, we live in a system where economic relations direct the political relations."

He added that development and diversification in foreign policy come with self-confidence, which is ensured by a strong economy.
