`Croatia will remain Azerbaijan’s partner within EU, NATO`
Croatia will remain a partner of Azerbaijan within the EU and NATO, said Croatian president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who is an official visit to Azerbaijan.
The president made the remarks at the Azerbaijani-Croatian business forum in Baku Oct. 25.

“I am grateful to the Azerbaijani president and his spouse for their hospitality. Me and my husband feel ourselves like at home,” she said.

Grabar-Kitarovic extended her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the opportunity to build business relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia.

“The matter is not only about the energy and transport spheres,” the president said calling on Croatian companies to take advantage of great opportunities in the economic field.

“As I mentioned yesterday at ADA University, unfortunately, Croatia’s business circles can not act at the level of our political relations. The same can be said about Azerbaijan,” she said.

She noted that Azerbaijan and Croatia enjoy good political relations, and there are no open issues between the two countries.

“I assure you that Croatia will remain a partner of Azerbaijan within the EU and NATO,” added Grabar-Kitarovic. “I hope the discussion on an EU-Azerbaijan strategic partnership agreement will end soon, and the strategic partnership agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Croatia in Zagreb will serve as the impetus.”
