Around 50 gathered in the cavern, known as Casa de Pedra, in the state of Tocantins to say prayers and light candles on All Saints` Day. The Tocantins government cited a statement by a state secretary for health who said ten people died on the spot when the roof of the grotto came down.
Five injured are in stable condition and receiving medical care at the Pedro Afonso regional hospital. Two others were taken to Hospital Geral de Palmas and a private clinic in the capital with compound fractures.

Ten worshippers died and seven were injured on Tuesday when a grotto partially caved in on a congregation in northern Brazil, local health authorities said.
