Lapis Lazuli corridor to be mulled in Baku

Lapis Lazuli corridor to be mulled in Baku

Baku will host the fourth technical meeting on the Lapis Lazuli transportation corridor, the Afghan embassy in Baku told Nov. 3.

The meeting, to be held Nov. 15-16, will be attended by delegations at the level of experts from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The Lapis Lazuli project envisages the creation of a transportation corridor from Afghanistan to Europe through Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The corridor will further join Turkey’s transportation routes.

The previous meeting at the expert level was held in Turkey’s Istanbul.
