Media reported that on Sunday the bus carrying 22 children and four adults fell into a ditch after the light motor vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane.
"By the moment the decision was made to hospitalize 20 children for medical examination," Ilse Buksha said Sunday, as quoted by the Baltic Delfi news website. She added that there were seven ambulance teams at the accident site. According to the news outlet, the accident took place at 7 p.m. local time (17:00 GMT).

At least 20 children were injured in a a road accident, which involved a bus and a light motor vehicle in Latvia, a spokeswoman of press service of the country`s ambulance service said.
