Trump to start receiving daily national intelligence briefings this week
US President-Elect Donald Trump and senior officials of his team will begin receiving daily intelligence briefings from the intelligence community, according to the White House press service.
US President-elect Donald Trump and members of his transition team will begin to receive daily intelligence briefings this week, the White House said in a press release on Thursday.

"As part of a longstanding tradition, building off the intelligence briefings the two candidates received before the election, the President-Elect and other senior officials will begin receiving daily intelligence briefings from the intelligence community," the release stated.

On Wednesday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Trump’s team will receive the same daily intelligence briefings available to President Barack Obama.

Additionally, the White House said the Obama administration will hold two interagency exercises for the incoming Trump administration focused on domestic incident management practices.
