Georgia expects progress in creating visa-free regime with EU
Georgia expects progress in creating a visa-free regime with European Union (EU), the country
She was speaking about the expectations from the Riga summit of EU Eastern Partnership program to be held in May.

The foreign minister said that with this regard, Georgia’s task is to ensure the timely and effective implementation of its obligations.

Beruchashvili also reminded that the migration situation in Europe is difficult and many countries even demand to revise the Schengen regulations.

She said that expert missions of EU will visit Georgia in late January to assess the implementation of the country’s obligations.

“This is a very crucial stage which hopefully will be completed successfully.”
