Four people of Chechen origin detained over terrorist attack in Istanbul
A total of six people have been detained over the terrorist attack in Turkey
Reportedly, four of them are Chechens by nationality, however, no information has been provided about the nationality of the other two detained.

A female suicide bomber blew herself up In Istanbul at the entrance of a police station, located in the historic district of Sultanahmet, leaving one police officer dead and one injured on Jan.6.

At first, it was reported that the terror attack was carried out by Elif Sultan Kalsen – a student of one of the country’s universities.

But then, Turkey’s Interior Ministry made a statement saying that the citizen of Russia, Diana Ramazanova, who is a native of Daghestan, was that suicide bomber.

Russia’s Consulate General in Istanbul has not yet confirmed the information about the involvement of a Russian citizen in the terrorist attack in Istanbul.
