The density of the population was 113 people per square kilometer, said the report.
According to the report, urban population is leading in the country with a share of 53.1 percent of the total, while rural population made up 46.9 percent.
The number of female population exceeds male population making up 50.2 percent of the overall population. Some 49.8 percent of Azerbaijan`s population are men. It means there are 1,007 women for each 1,000 men.
Generally, 119,700 children were born in the country in January-September. The birth rate was 16.5 per thousand people, while 53.4 percent of newborns were boys, and 46.6 percent girls. Some 2.090 twins and 54 triplets were born in Azerbaijan in this period.
Some 42,000 deaths were registered in Azerbaijan since the beginning of the year. The mortality rate per 1,000 people made up 5.8 person.
In January-September, 50,400 marriages and 9,600 divorces were recorded.
Relevant bodies of the Interior Ministry and the State Migration Service have registered 2,678 immigrants and 1,397 emigrants in January-September. Migration saldo made up 1,281 persons.
