`No information about fate of 60 children who went missing during Karabakh conflict`
There is no information about the fate of 60 children who went missing or became prisoners of war and hostages during the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Hijran Huseynova, chairwoman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, said on Friday.

She noted that more than 300,000 children in Azerbaijan have become refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia.

According to Huseynova, 60 of 3,024 people, listed as prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, are children.

“20 of them are girls, 40 are boys. For many years, we have been unable to get information about their fate,” she added.
