Facebook’s Zuckerberg headed for APEC Summit in Lima
Mark Zuckerberg is off to Peru’s capital Lima where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders` Meeting is taking place.
Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg is off to Peru’s capital Lima where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders` Meeting is taking place over the weekend.

"Heading to Lima, Peru to discuss how to connect the world with presidents and prime ministers from 20+ countries at the APEC Summit. I`ll go live from my keynote tomorrow at 9am eastern time. Looking forward to meeting people from our community there!" Zuckerberg wrote on Twitter.

Peru has been hosting APEC`s all-year-round meetings that will culminate with the economic leaders` summit in Lima on November 19-20.

The summit is chaired by Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. The APEC leaders are expected to work out a strategic vision and guidelines for economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region for 2017, which will be laid down in the Lima declaration. US President Barack Obama has already arrived in Lima.
