Azerbaijani female boxers to vie for European gold

Azerbaijani female boxers to vie for European gold

Azerbaijan’s Anna Alimardanova (54kg) and Yelena Vstropova (69kg) have guaranteed silver medals after reaching the women`s final of the European Boxing Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Alimardanova will take on a Bulgarian rival, while Vstropova will face a Turkish boxer in the decisive bouts.

Leyla Javadova (80) and Aynur Rzayeva (+81) had already earned bronze medals for Azerbaijan.
