European court of human Rights adopts two resolutions against Armenia
The European Court of Human Rights has adopted two resolutions against Armenia, AzVision.az reports citing azatutyun.am.

The ECHR ordered the Government of Armenia to pay 50,000 EUR of compensation to the family of dead Armenian soldier Suren Muradyan, who died in 2012. The resolution adopted by the ECHR states that the investigation to identify the perpetrators of the murder was not conducted properly by the law-enforcement agencies of Armenia.

In his application to the ECHR, Hrach Muradyan, the father of the dead soldier told the court that his son got sick and was not provided with necessary medical assistance.

The European court fined Armenia 2,400 euros (EUR) on the case of Manucharyan v. Armenia. On 1 July 2009, Manucharyan presented himself to the police, surrendering a gun and confessing the murder of a man in the town of Alaverdi. Manucharyan was charged with murder and illegal possession of firearms.

However, Manucharyan denied the charges and refused to testify when he was questioned on 3 July 2009.

According to the resolution adopted by the European court, the court of Armenian government backs killer’s human rights challenge.
