Under the individual partnership program between Azerbaijan and NATO, in 2014 more than 1,200 representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces participated in 100 events within the Partnership for Peace programme.
The defense policy and strategy, language trainings, military exercises and events, military education, doctrine, material and technical maintenance, concept and planning of the peacekeeping forces, operational areas, command and control, international humanitarian law, defense planning, and management of budget and resources were priorities for the ministry last year.
