More than 150 employees of a metallurgical plant in Iraqi northeastern province of Sulaymaniyah were poisoned after a leak of chlorine caused by an explosion of a cylinder with a poisonous gas, according to local media.
More than 150 employees of a metallurgical plant in Iraq were poisoned on Monday after a leak of chlorine, local media reported.

The leak occurred at the plant located in the country`s northeastern province of Sulaymaniyah, the Iraqi Al Sumaria broadcaster reported citing a medical source.

According to the media outlet, the condition of the poisoned people was stable. The incident was caused by an explosion of a cylinder with a poisonous gas, but the investigation was still in progress, the broadcaster added.
