Turkey`s Chief of Staff Akar meets with his US counterpart Dunford
Turkey`s Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar met with the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford in Incirlik Air Base in southern province of Adana on Tuesday, according to a statement released on the website of Turkish Armed Forces.
Akar, with the commander of Turkish Army Gen. Salih Zeki Çolak, went to southern province of Adana on Monday to inspect the troops in the city.

After controlling the troops in the region, Akar met with his U.S. counterpart.

Despite an official statement regarding the details of the meeting is yet to be released, the main topics are believed to have involved the Syrian civil war and the global threat caused by the regional terror groups such as Daesh, the PKK and its Syrian offshoot Democratic Union Party (PYD), according to experts.
