Azerbaijan proposes holding GUAM sports games

Azerbaijan proposes holding GUAM sports games

Azerbaijan proposes holding sports games among GUAM countries, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

He made the remarks during an opening of the 9th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova).

The minister suggested that sports too be an area of cooperation among GUAM countries.

“We need to intensify our cooperation in this direction. GUAM countries are in close cooperation in other areas, and holding joint sports games I think would further strengthen these ties,” he added Mammadyarov.
