Poland drops controversial proposals to restrict media after protests
Poland has scrapped controversial proposals to restrict media access in parliament, Polish President Andrzej Duda said.
The measure was introduced following mass protests against a law limiting access to parliamentary debates, which the opposition claimed was anti-democratic.

The Law and Justice party (PiS) “has abandoned its proposal which triggered the row we saw in parliament... Everything has been reset,” Duda said in an interview on state television. Duda added that Polish authorities “must ensure citizens` access to information about the work in parliament.”
