Azerbaijan offers condolences over Berlin attack
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences the tragic event at a Christmas market in Berlin.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic event perpetrated in Berlin city of Germany which caused many deaths and injuries,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, as well as the government and people of Germany, share their grief and wish for a speedy recovery to the wounded,” added the ministry.

Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Germany is investigating the presence of Azerbaijani citizens among the wounded and killed as a result of these events via the official Federal Government agencies.

At least 12 people were killed and about 50 injured on Monday night when a truck ploughed into a central Christmas market in Berlin.
