Berlin underground and shopping centre closed as hunt for Berlin attacker heats up
UNDERGROUND trains in Berlin and a shopping centre have been closed as police swoop on the area.
Trains are not running in Prenzlauer Berg after the security scare, Tagesspiegel newspaper reports.

Trams are also thought to have stopped running in the area and police are at the scene.

Officials have not said why the lockdown is taking place.

It comes as a Europe-wide manhunt is underway for prime terror suspect Anis Amir, who turns 25 today.

The suspected jihadist is thought to have carried out Monday night’s lorry attack in the German capital.
