The Head of State noted that the construction of social houses will be a great support for needy families in the apartments: “This is a new social project. This project once again demonstrates that social issues have always been a priority for us. On April 11 of this year, my order was created by the State Housing Agency. The main task of this agency is to solve the living problems of citizens. At the same time, as a result of the activities of the State Housing Agency new impetus to the development of the construction sector will be given, and this, in turn, lead to the creation of thousands of new jobs”.

"The project, implemented in Yasamal district, is the first project. And then projects will be implemented. There are plans to build 29 residential buildings, a kindergarten, and school. In this residential complex will be built more than 1,800 apartments. I hope that the opening of this first project, we will celebrate in 2018”, - Ilham Aliyev said.

The President noted that citizens who for some reason can not buy an apartment, as a result of the activities of the State Housing Agency will be able to buy an apartment: "Because we live in a market economy, there are wealthy levels, poor levels and low-income citizens and solving their problems State takes over. As I have already said, implement various social projects and provision of apartments, of course, it is a factor that has a special place in the life of every family. Wealthy citizens provide themselves with apartments, houses, but the state should not help feeling sorry for those who do not have this opportunity. Today is the beginning of this project is a clear example of this. Apartments on favorable terms in this residential complex will primarily be given to the families of martyrs, war veterans, young professionals, teachers, scientists, military and citizens of this category. Terms indeed very soft, people will move into new apartments with long-term payment conditions”.

The President noted that as a result of this project construction sector will revive.

The President stressed that now there are preparatory works in Baku for the second project: "The second project will be greater than this. If the first construction site is 11 hectares, in the second project will be 20 hectares. The second project will be implemented in the village of Hovsan, and there, too, provides for the construction of dozens of apartment buildings. Today, we carry it across state lines. And financial resources in connection with the buildings that will be built here are also provided in the state budget. But today, I appeal and to entrepreneurs, so that they have joined this initiative and this process would have gained a mass character”.

The Head of State said that the state will perform its task. As in Baku, as well as in other major cities, and in the future - should be everywhere and will be carried out construction of social buildings. But in order to make this process more than a character in this case must be involved and the private sector.

“Today`s initiative, today`s groundbreaking ceremony serves as a signal to entrepreneurs, so that they can do more for themselves and for the state. As I have said, as a result of the implementation, we perform several important tasks of this project”, - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
