Turkey plans to end construction of railway BTK until April 2017
Turkey has not fulfilled its obligations on completion of the construction of railway line Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) on its section.
Azerbaijani sources say that Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has already postponed commissioning of the facility presumably for the end of the first quarter of 2017.

"It is regrettable that Turkey has failed to finish the construction before the end of 2016. Nevertheless, new terms, called by the Turkish government, leave a possibility for the beginning of commercial exploitation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in 2017," the source said, abc.az reports.

The source also pointed out that the line has been already delayed on terms of readiness compared to competing transit routes.
