FBI redacts vendor name and price from released iPhone hack documents
The FBI has released 100 pages of heavily redacted documents after a Freedom of Information Act request, detailing its agreement with a vendor to hack into an iPhone used by San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook.
The request filed by The Associated Press, Vice Media, and Gannett, the parent company of USA Today, sought to establish the name of the vendor and how much it was paid by the federal government to hack the phone. Those details had been censored from the documents, AP reported.
