Chairman of the State Committee Mubariz Gurbanli gave information about works carried out to ensure the people’s freedom of conscience, tolerance and multicultural environment in Azerbaijan, press service of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations told.
Mubariz Gurbanli said a very good condition was established for the co-existence of representatives of all nations, including Jews, adding that the Azerbaijani people will never forget the representatives of the Jewish community, who fought shoulder to shoulder with the Azerbaijanis during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and died heroically.
Akko Mayor Lankry underlined that Azerbaijan had become a model platform for interreligious and intercultural dialogue and its multiculturalism strategy had aroused great pride in the world. He also noted that the relations between the people of Azerbaijan and Jewish community in the country play a great role in strengthening the ties.
