PACE co-rapporteurs report to Monitoring Committee on visit to Azerbaijan
PACE Monitoring Committee has today held a meeting in Strasbourg within the winter session.
Stefan Schennach and Cezar Florin Preda, co-rapporteurs for the monitoring of Azerbaijan by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), informed the committee members about their visit to Azerbaijan and its outcomes, AzVision.az reports.

Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov said the co-rapporteurs would pay a visit to Azerbaijan again and develop the next report.

“Co-rapporteurs’ statements on the visit to Azerbaijan was read out in the meeting of Monitoring Committee and we discussed the developments in Azerbaijan with the committee members. The discussions were held in a very constructive way. The importance of the dialogue between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe, negotiations with representatives of NGOs and civil society, joint analysis of human rights issues in Azerbaijan with representatives of the Council of Europe were discussed. Then, it was decided to send co-rapporteurs to Azerbaijan again and prepare the next report,” Seyidov added.
