FIG int’l judges’ courses on rhythmic gymnastics kick off in Baku
The Intercontinental Judges’ Courses on Rhythmic Gymnastics of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) have started in Baku.
The courses will be held in Azerbaijan’s capital on Jan. 26-30.

Addressing the opening, FIG representative Younis Lebre welcomed the participants, introduced the members of the organizing committee and thanked the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) for the excellent organization.

“I would like to thank the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for the excellent organization and wish success to judges,” said Lebre.

Afterwards, AGF Secretary General Farid Gayibov addressed the event. He welcomed the course participants, wished them success and expressed hope that the courses will be held successfully.

“These courses are being held for the first time in Azerbaijan and the FIG Intercontinental Judges’ Courses were also held for the first time here in the previous week,” noted Gayibov. “You will have a very difficult week, but I hope you will also be able to find time to enjoy the sights of Baku.”

Fifty-eight judges and 17 federations are taking part in the courses. Twenty judges are presenting Azerbaijan in the courses.
