Special Operations Forces Launch Anti-Jihadist Raid in Southern France
According to the newspaper, the operation started at 06:00 a.m. local time (05:00 GMT) in the small town of Lunel in the Herault department. The entries and exits to the town in southern France are currently blocked.
At least five people were arrested during the massive operation jointly conducted by special operations units of the French National Police and the French Armed Forces, according to the newspaper.
According to earlier media reports, Lunel is the town from which some 20 young people left for Syria. Six of them, aged 18 to 30, reportedly have been killed since October.
