At least two policemen also died of their injuries and two locals were reported injured after the suspected terrorists fired and threw grenades at officers who had asked them to show their IDs.
Writing on Instagram, Kadyrov said the perpetrators were acting on the orders of an IS recruiter from Syria but of Chechen origin. The alleged mastermind has been embedded within the terrorist group’s ranks in Syria for three years, and is known for inciting murder of officials and religious leaders, according to Kadyrov.
