Georgian, British servicemen discuss opening of NATO training center in Tbilisi
Georgian Defense Minister Mindia Janelidze received a British delegation led by the head of the security and justice group David Clarke Jan. 28.
Special Advisor to the British Defense Minister Stephen Glover attended the meeting.

Janelidze briefed the guests on the current reforms in the defense system and plans for the future.

One of the main topics at the meeting was the implementation of a NATO substantial package, obtained by Georgia at the Wales summit. In this regard, Great Britain’s support was stressed, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend.

The sides also discussed the opening of a NATO training center in Georgia, the national document of military policy, infrastructure projects, resource management and the prospects for intensifying the military cooperation between Georgia and Great Britain.

In conclusion, Janelidze thanked the British side for support and assistance.
