Georgia gets closer to NATO
Georgia gets closer to NATO, said NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow.
He said that he wouldn’t speculate on the date of entry into the alliance. He made the remarks at a joint press conference with Georgian president in Tbilisi Jan.30.

“The decision of the Welsh summit makes efforts of Georgia in this direction even more focused,” said Alexander Vershbow. “We will do everything that depends on us, and Georgia must go through its own way. The country gets closer to NATO, but I will not start to speculate about the exact date of its entry into the alliance now. We never talked about the “deadline”.”

He went on to add that the alliance would do everything in order to ensure that Georgia gets additional opportunities to achieve its goal.
