SGC remains as strategic project for U.S. – Department of State
The Southern Gas Corridor is successfully being realized and it remains as a strategic project for the U.S., Robin Dunnigan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy in the Department of State`s Bureau of Energy Resources, said at the press conference.
According to her, this is one of the significant projects for Europe’s energy security: “The SGC opens a number opportunities for European consumers. This means favourable prices in terms of competition, along with ensuring the Europe’s energy security. We saw progresses today. There are several challenges. As the US, we think we’ll jointly overcome these difficulties and achieve delivery of Caspian gas”.
