Turkey wants visa regime simplification with Russia
Ankara hopes to ease the visa regime with Russia, this is the key to progress in establishing relations affected by the crisis of 2015, the co-chairman of the Turkish-Russian Civic Forum Ahmet Conkar said.
"Our citizens have experienced great difficulties during the crisis in relations. We hope that the situation of our citizens will be eased somehow, and the facilitation of the visa regime can be one of the trump cards in this regard," Conkar said, addressing the participants of the Forum.

According to him, "Turkish citizens in some cases are still subjected to inspections, and this does not contribute to a positive perception of the situation".

"We hope that appropriate measures will be taken by the Russian leadership," RIA Novosti cited Conkar as saying.

Tomorrow Moscow will host the 6th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council under the chairmanship of the Presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
