Protest action to be held against fuel prices in Georgia
A protest action will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on Feb.4 against the fuel prices in the country.
The fuel prices are inadequate in Georgia – oil prices in the world market have dropped by 55 percent, while the fuel prices in Georgia have decreased by only 20 percent, said one of the leaders of the United Democratic Movement Jondi Bagaturia.

The average price for gasoline in Georgia is equal to 1.19 tetri (100 tetri = 1 GEL; $1= 2 GEL) per liter, said Bagaturia, adding that the prices for medicines have also increased in the country.

“We are preparing for large-scale protest actions in the case of necessity,” he said, adding that it will be within the law.
