First train successfully put into use on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway
The first train has been tested at the station which was constructed in the territory of Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi-Turkish border, Georgia, as part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project.

Azəryolservis OJSC told APA-Economics that the ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov, Chairman of Azəryolservis OJSC Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of Azerbaijani Railways CJSC Arif Asgarov and Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Georgi Kvirikashvili.

Z. Mammadov expressed satisfaction with the testing of a train at the Turkish border, noting that the railway in this area is now ready for use.

The project will be fully completed in 2015.
