Hillary Clinton sends letter to Bidzina Ivanishvili
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has sent a letter to Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.
According to the PM`s press service, the US Secretary of State, whose term in office is expiring, wishes success to the Georgian government and hopes it will have constructive relations with the opposition and civil society.
`Dear Prime Minister! It was an honor for me to witness the transfer of power by your and your colleagues` leadership, which was historically important for Georgia, as well as the unprecedented period of cohabitation. I am proud of the progress attained by the US and Georgia in strengthening of relations between our countries. I am sure this relationship will be stable in the future too. In 2012 when our countries were celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Georgia made an important step on its path of democratic development and implementation of Euro-Atlantic aspiration. The US supported Georgia in strengthening of democracy with great pleasure, which was reflected in the peaceful transfer of power, an achievement of which would be impossible without your leadership. I hope you will have constructive relations with the opposition and civil society and you will cooperate for implementation of common goals for ensuring Georgia`s democratic and economic progress. I wish you great success and happiness in all your future businesses``, says the letter of the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
