Visa-free travel for Azerbaijani citizens to Europe is under discussion

“Abolition of visa regime by the European Union for Azerbaijani citizens is one of the subjects of discussions within the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation, said Spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev.
He said the EU-Azerbaijan agreement on visa facilitation and readmission is in force for several years. “The successful cooperation within the agreement paves the way for a new phase of the discussions on the issue of visas. It is not excluded that the issue of visa-free regime will be considered within the framework of discussions of a new partnership agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan”, said the foreign ministry spokesperson.
