First International Forum of Caucasians organized by the Presidium of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Caucasians Institute started in Baku, on April 17.
175 scientists and scholars from Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, the USA, the Great Britain, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, Ozbekistan, Ukraine and Georgia participate in the forum, AzVision.az reports.
At the beginning of the event the national anthem was played.
In his opening remarks, ANAS president Akif Alizade highlighted the importance of the forum.
Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy Issues of the Presidential Administration Fatma Abdullazade read out President Ilham Aliyev`s message of greetings to the forum participants.
